Music is important at Hopewell and it's one of the major ways we worship our Lord. Scripture tells us in Psalm 100 to "Make a joyful noise to the LORD, all the earth! Serve the LORD with gladness! Come into his presence with singing!" and to
"Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him; bless his name!"
That's what our Music Ministry Team strives to do every time we're given the privileged to lead our church in Worship of our Lord and Savior Jesus. There are opportunities for members of all ages to use their musical gifts. Choirs, praise teams, soloists, instrumentalists and media and technical support are all vital parts of worship at Hopewell.
Our Music Ministry Team plays a vital role in support of our other ministries as well. Wednesday Fellowship Services, Christmas and Easter programs, Mission outreach, Associational and community events and Children's Music with our annual VBS Children's outreach all have our Music Ministry Teams heavily involved.

Richard Baird has been in full-time ministry since 2001 and serves as our Worship Pastor and Facilities Administrator.
He has served as Director of Media at Olford Ministries International, Director of Media and Music Administration at Germantown Baptist and as Minister of Music at Evangel Church in Memphis, TN. Richard and his wife, Liz, have a son, Bennett (who is married to Anna) and a daughter, Jesse.
