Loving God
It is the first and greatest command!
In Mark 12:28-31 One of the scribes came and heard them arguing, and recognizing that He had answered them well, asked Him, “What commandment is the foremost of all?” 29 Jesus answered, “The foremost is, ‘Hear, O Israel! The Lord our God is one Lord; 30 and you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.’
The reference to heart, mind, soul and strength reveals that God wants and expects your undivided devotion.
We are able to love him because he first loved us! 1 John 4:19 We love, because He first loved us. The first priority of any believer is to Love God with all that we are!
Reach People
The Second Command is to Love Your Neighbor!
When we love the Lord our God we will love those he loves and we will want to reach them with the Gospel of Jesus Christ who can change and save their life!

Our commission is to “Make Disciples!” To reach people with the good news of Jesus Christ! Here at Hopewell we are a Great Commission church! We love people and we are carrying out that Great Commission by sharing the truth of the Good news that we can receive salvation through Christ Jesus who died for us and forgives our sin.
Grow Disciples
Teaching them all the things that Jesus has commanded us!
Matthew 28:20 teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
We pass on what we have learned so that others may grow in Christ. 2 Timothy 2:2 The things which you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses, entrust these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.
Colossians 2:6 Therefore as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, 7 having been firmly rooted and now being built up in Him and established in your faith, just as you were instructed, and overflowing with gratitude.
